A TedTalk On Why You Should Keep Your Goals to Yourself
I watched a short TedTalk recently. This guy, Derek Sivers suggests that we should keep our goals private until we have achieved them because the psychological aspect of sharing the goal with someone else creates a feel-good feeling in us that makes it seem that we are one step closer to achieving our goals and thus less likely to put in the hard work to achieve them. Seems very counter-intuitive to keep your goals private right?
