Student Biz
The student market has been bugging me for a long time ever since I interned in Xfresh when I was 14.5 years old. As a student, it is easy for me to simply brush off companies that are trying to reach out to students with their lame marketing campaigns. I have tried launching several website to reach out to students but lack of a proper plan made the websites redundant. I made a mental note that pure web-based models does not really bring in the mullah, but selling physical goods or services and using the internet as a marketing tool will be more profitable. But is it really true?
I have had some luck selling goods and services to students. Turned quite a decent profit at some too. I have this hypothesis A4 paper stuck on my room where I could build a distribution channel for students and sell miscellaneous products to students using this distribution channel. But is it possible to build such a distribution channel?
Is there a reason there is no student-focused marketing company but most companies treat students as just a sub-segment of their company? I am trying to figure out if I can create a student company to test out my biggest assumption of my late teenage years…
