Good Blog Read for Entrepreneurs
I read TechCrunch on a regular basis. At one point, I was reading it almost everyday. TechCrunch write mainly about US startups which successfully receives huge funding round and exited through sales to other big technology companies. This is a great read in gauging trends in the technology industry and to obtain ideas in the technology sector.
The problem with reading TechCrunch too frequently is gives you the impression that entrepreneurship is very easy and that anyone with an idea can go around and raise ridiculous amounts of money from VC before building any product just by giving some pitches. TechCrunch tend to glorify the success of raising money instead of building a sustainable successful business. They do not have that many articles about the difficulties and failures of launching a business. There is nothing bad in this, it is simply not the focus of TechCrunch.
Occasionally however they do feature some guest posts advising entrepreneurs on how to have better success as an entrepreneur. And one of the guest writers that I found extremely useful with a good writing style is James Altucher. I read a guest post of his on TechCrunch a few days ago and decided to hop onto his blog to follow him since I thought he’s got a great writing style. Going through his posts, I realised I actually read several of his previous posts on TechCrunch and these were the articles that I found most insightful into entrepreneurship.
James Altucher has a very interesting style of writing on entrepreneurship with some really sound advice for entrepreneur. Follow him here.
